Buy Quant (QNT) in Australia
Quant Network built Overledger as a single gateway for building applications across multiple blockchains, and in 2023 it was named technology vendor for Project Rosalind, a retail CBDC pilot from the Bank of England and the Bank for International Settlements' Innovation Hub. The tradeable QNT token is a separate thing: an ERC-20 asset on the Ethereum network, quoted in Australian dollars on Digital Surge. Verify once, deposit AUD, and a first Quant order takes minutes.

About Quant (QNT)
Quant (QNT) is an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network, so it settles under Ethereum's proof-of-stake consensus rather than any chain of Quant's own. It was issued by Quant Network, a company founded in 2018 by Gilbert Verdian, its chief executive, alongside co-founders Colin Paterson and Paolo Tasca, and QNT first changed hands in that same year's token sale.
Quant Network's main product is Overledger, an API-based gateway that lets developers build applications spanning several blockchains through one interface. Overledger is interoperability software, not the settlement layer for QNT itself, which stays on Ethereum for trading, deposits and withdrawals.
The company's work reaches into standards and institutions: Gilbert Verdian set up the ISO's international blockchain-standards committee in 2015, and Quant has partnered with SIA and Oracle to connect established systems to blockchain networks. The Quant guide has the full picture.

Why buy Quant with Digital Surge
Quant made its name in rooms most of us never enter. Buying its token needs none of that ceremony: on Digital Surge the whole purchase is one uncomplicated order screen.

FAQ
Buying Quant: FAQs
What's the minimum QNT order?
The minimum QNT order is $1 AUD. Quant is divisible, so Digital Surge accepts small orders; choose an amount in Australian dollars and the order screen shows the exact QNT it buys at the live AUD rate.
How fast is the whole process, start to finish?
Usually same-day. The identity check is the longest step for most new customers; after that, orders confirm quickly and the QNT reaches your account shortly after the trade goes through. A PayID deposit keeps the funding step to minutes.
Can I sell QNT back to Australian dollars on Digital Surge?
Yes. You can sell QNT back to Australian dollars from your Digital Surge account at any hour, since the market does not close. The AUD credits your balance, ready to withdraw to your Australian bank or to move into another coin.
Is QNT the same thing as Quant's Overledger?
No. QNT is the tradeable ERC-20 token you buy and hold, priced here in AUD. Overledger is Quant Network's interoperability software, which connects other blockchains together; your QNT settles on Ethereum and never travels over Overledger itself.
Which network moves QNT in and out of Digital Surge?
Ethereum. QNT is an ERC-20 token, so select Ethereum (ERC20) whenever you deposit to Digital Surge or withdraw to an external wallet. Sending it over any other network risks losing the tokens, so check the address first.
How do I keep an eye on the QNT price?
On this page. The live figure near the top follows Quant in AUD in real time, so whatever you see is current at that moment. Refresh before ordering if the tab has sat open a while.
